Dia di Rincon on April 30th

Finally, on April 30th, it’s time for Dia di Rincon. The day traditionally begins early in the morning with the raising of the flag in Rincon. A special mass is then held at the church, followed by festive activities. The day is filled with performances that create a lively atmosphere. The highlight of the day is the magnificent parade through the streets of the village in the northern part of Bonaire, where participants wear traditional costumes. The parade always attracts many visitors, both tourists and locals.

Where the celebration takes place


The festivities of Dia di Rincon on April 30th take place in the center of Rincon, the oldest village on Bonaire, located about 20 minutes by car from Kralendijk. The parade winds through the streets of the village, and performances are held on different stages along the route.

Tip: Since 2020, Dia di Rincon has been an official public holiday on Bonaire, meaning that many shops, businesses, and government institutions will be closed on that day.
