JetBlue starts flights between New York and Bonaire

Good news: U.S. low-cost airline JetBlue Airways will start offering flights between New York and Bonaire. The first flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to the island will be offered starting in November 2024. JetBlue will serve Bonaire twice a week. These will be direct flights year-round.

For both tourists visiting Bonaire and residents of the island who want to go to the United States, this means that starting in November, they will have an additional airline to choose from. In addition to JetBlue, several other U.S. airlines fly to Bonaire from various cities in the United States. Airline United has been offering flights between another New York airport for some time. This is the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) airport from which flights are operated to Bonaire. In addition, at United you can also book flights to the island from Houston. American Airlines also offers several flights a week from Miami and Delta flies from Atlanta to Bonaire.

JetBlue to Aruba and Curaçao


JetBlue has also been flying to neighboring islands Curaçao and Aruba from various destinations in the United States for some time. From Curaçao, JetBlue also offers flights to New York. JetBlue also offers flights to Boston from Aruba in addition to flights to New York. 

Bonaire has been working for three years to bring the airline to the island as well. They are therefore delighted with the good news that JetBlue has now chosen our island. These are flights that will be operated throughout the year, i.e. both high season and low season. These flights are expected to give a boost to the Bonairean economy. 

The first JetBlue flight from JFK to Bonaire is scheduled for November 2024. An exact date has not yet been announced. Flight ticket sales will start later this month on the website www.jetblue.com 

Yesterday it was announced that Corendon will offer flights between Amsterdam and Bonaire starting in November 2024.
